A power purchase agreement (PPA) is a way to purchase renewable energy from a third-party project developer at an agreed-upon contract price. Physical PPAs facilitate direct power delivery and transfer of the associated RECs from the3 renewable system to the consumer, while virtual PPAs simply facilitate the transfer of RECs. PPAs are a great opportunity for organizations to purchase a large amount of renewable energy from one source.
