We are seeking a Research Consultant passionate about supporting the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. You will generate original, impactful insight that will help a wide range of companies accelerate climate action and lower their carbon footprints.
You will also get to experience and shape the fast-paced (and fun!) culture of a quickly growing company of committed individuals. This position will report to the Head of Research.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing root cause analyses to break down complex business problems into addressable components
• Designing and implementing research plans that will yield insights and best practices relevant and valuable to TCB’s members
• Conducting primary research interviews and developing relationships with industry contacts
• Gathering and maintaining a broad fact set about climate change, decarbonization trends, and the actions businesses take to meet their climate-related challenges
• Generating original insights from the analysis of said fact set
• Expressing said insights in writing, graphically, and through oral presentation
• Balancing a mix of long-term thematic research with the production of immediate and short-term deliverables

REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE

• At least two years’ professional experience in a research- or consulting-related role
• A passion for writing clearly and artfully
• Comfort with varied research methods, including primary interviews
• The ability to recognize and pursue fruitful lines of inquiry and to quickly discard distractions
• A willingness to demonstrate peer leadership, give and receive constructive feedback, and take appropriate initiative
• Facility with Microsoft Suite
