Washington DC, March 27, 2023 – The Climate Board announced the appointment of Angela Paulk as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned research and strategy executive with over 20 years of leadership experience, Ms. Paulk will succeed co-founder Michael Van Vleck in the leadership role. To date, Ms. Paulk has been working as head of research and consistently demonstrated the leadership qualities, insightful strategic thinking and high energy commitment to make her ascent to CEO both compelling and seamless.

Van Vleck and fellow co-founder and Executive Chairman Rob Griffen will remain on the board of directors and continue to support the company.

“Ms. Paulk has a proven record of successfully growing business intelligence companies that provide world-class insights and analysis. She is the right person to accelerate TCB’s growth and provide new value to our existing members” said Griffen.

Paulk brings a wealth of leadership experience, having led large scale regulatory-driven governance & transformational initiatives (Deutsche Bank) and strategy consulting & business intelligence teams (at start-ups acquired by BCG and S&P). Paulk began her corporate career at Citi contributing to thought leadership with the Institutional Investor #1 ranked Electrical Equipment/Multi-industry equity research team and with the firm’s industry leading Economic & Political Strategies advisory team.

In parallel to her corporate career, Paulk has taught finance and economics courses at Columbia University and brings a long track record of non-for-profit engagement and volunteerism including 2 years of service as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Russia (2000-2002). She holds dual MBAs from Columbia University’s School of Business and London Business School as well as a BA in Political Science from The University of Georgia.
